About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for a Team Leader Volunteers to work as part of the Business Delivery team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

As Team Leader Volunteers, you will lead the development, promotion and evaluation of NPWS volunteer programs that encourages sustainable volunteer and community participation in volunteer activities and services across NPWS. You will provide expert advice on volunteer and community participation to enable an effective, consistent and coordinated approach that minimises risk and contributes to NPWS goals, objectives and business plans.

 

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing strategies, policies, procedures, communications planning, systems, manuals and other documentation to guide and support consistent and effective program management.
  • Experience in program management, including monitoring milestones and performance indicators, report on progress, undertake detailed performance analysis, evaluate outcomes and make recommendations for program improvements.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with multi-disciplinary, cross- organisational project teams, internal and external stakeholders and other Government Agencies to achieve objectives, desirable in a volunteer or community participation setting.

 

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in the management, implementation and evaluation of policy and programs, including knowledge of volunteer and participation strategies, programs and policies, and management of associated risks within a complex, geographically dispersed organisation.

 

Essential requirements

  • Current Australian Class C Drivers licence or equivalent.
