Our Consumer Energy team is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Innovation & Grid Integration. You will play a key role in empowering communities through programs and policies that enable smarter, cleaner and more affordable energy use.  

About the Role

As Manager Innovation & Grid Integration, you will lead the end-to-end development, implementation and evaluation of key initiatives across policy and projects streams within the Consumer Energy Division.

You’ll manage a team to deliver exciting digital programs and regulatory reforms aligned with government objectives, and oversee governance, performance, risk, and stakeholder engagement throughout the policy lifecycle. Your expertise in strategic planning, evidence-based design and stakeholder negotiation will support the delivery of high-quality, measurable outcomes in areas such as net zero emissions, climate resilience, and sustainable development.

The team is responsible for leading a range of actions in the Consumer Energy Strategy including Action 37 to develop a new digital portal for installers of consumer energy resources; Action 38 to develop new training for installers; and Action 42 developing a new consumer notification system to promote better demand management and response, among others. The team will also be responsible for developing national and NSW policy positions on standards and safety and other reforms.

About You

You are a strategic and collaborative leader with experience navigating complex government environments and solving problems.

You will have a proven record delivering high-profile programs in areas like net zero, climate resilience or sustainability, with the ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive results aligned with government priorities. Confident with stakeholders and skilled at influencing, you lead high-performing teams to deliver impact in complex, fast-paced environments.
