The role
As Transactions Manager, you'll play a key role in acquiring land for major government priorities including infrastructure, environmental conservation and open space. You’ll navigate complex legal and policy frameworks to ensure compliance with the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 and provide strategic advice to senior leaders.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop stakeholder relationships, manage consultants, negotiate outcomes and contribute to business improvement. You’ll help shape vibrant and sustainable places while balancing community, legal and fiscal considerations in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment.
What you will bring to the role
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills to resolve complex land acquisition matters across varied interests.
- Proven ability to apply property and planning legislation with integrity and translate technical issues into clear advice and reports.
- Experience managing high-value acquisition programs, contracts and consultants with accountability and transparency.
What is an essential requirement:
- Qualifications in Property, Land Economics, Planning, other property related discipline and relevant professional experience.
- Class C drivers’ licence.
