  • Salary relative to experience and ranges $130,506 to $143,921 + Super

 

About the role

In this role, you will develop and support the implementation of programs and projects to support the effective understanding and management of flood risk across NSW. 

 

About You

You are a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in flood risk management, supported by a relevant degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field. With extensive experience in delivering projects to support the understanding and management of flood risk, you possess a sound understanding of complex flooding processes and relevant policy, guidance and legislation.

You thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and excel at building strong relationships with stakeholders across government and industry. Your analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills enable you to provide timely expert advice, contribute to program delivery and support sustainable flood risk outcomes across NSW.

Key knowledge and experience

  • Sound demonstrated knowledge of flood processes and the complex operational and strategic requirements for the development and delivery of flood risk management plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of flood risk management policies and practice including relevant legislation, policies and guidelines and ability to represent the Agency.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in flood risk management.

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate degree level tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering or related disciplines.
  • Current Australian drivers license and willingness to travel.
