- Clerk Grade 11/12 - Salary relative to experience and ranges from $145,378.00 - $168,130.00 + super

The role:
In this dynamic role, you will provide operational, high-level executive, secretariat and policy support to the Executive Director to facilitate the achievement of organisational and management objectives and serves as a focal point for all matters that require the direct intervention of the Executive Director.
This includes providing strategic advice, managing communications and implementing strategies across Aboriginal Strategy, Policy and Engagement and the department.

What you will bring to the role
- High level written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with stakeholders, foster high levels of collaboration; and prepare and manage and review the provision of high-level communications and correspondence.
- Demonstrated experience in managing sensitive and confidential issues.
- Advanced time management and organisational skills to deliver strategic advice, information and reports to achieve deadlines to the required standards and timeframes.
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work within a team and develop the capacity of others, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to actively contribute towards achieving ASPE’s overall strategies
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree in a relevant discipline or relevant senior experience.
- Demonstrated experience in exercising sound judgement, particularly in matters of great political sensitivity, strict confidentiality and/or potential controversy.
- Extensive experience in championing Aboriginal outcomes, including embedding strategic and operational processes within core business
- Experience partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and entities.
