- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $98,913 to $109,143 + super + leave loading
About the role
An opportunity exists for an Administration Department Liaison Officer (DLO) in the Office of the Minister for Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Heritage. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a greater insight into the operations of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Heritage (DCCEEW) at the highest level, as well as understand the workings of a Minister’s office and how decisions are made.
About you
The Administration DLO provides administrative support to the office of the Minister for Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Heritage or a senior executive to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the office and to support the achievement of operational objectives.
You will need to use diplomacy, astute judgement and strong research and analytical skills in evaluating and providing advice on potentially sensitive issues. You will have excellent communication skills.
You will keep the customer at the front of mind. Nurturing and sustaining excellent relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues across the Minister’s office and DCCEEW.
Key knowledge and experience
- Experience in providing high level support in administration
- Sound understanding of the machinery of Government, the policy process and relevant legislation
