About the role
As an Events Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of events at a premier Olympic Sport Venue. Working under the guidance of the Events Coordinator, you will assist in all aspects of event planning, coordination, marketing, and operations. This includes liaising with event organisers and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure and service needs are met, supervising continent workforce during events, and maintaining accurate records and reports. Your contributions will help ensure each event runs smoothly, meets operational and financial goals, and delivers an exceptional experience for all participants and attendees.
What you will bring to the role
Support end-to-end event delivery by assisting with planning, coordination, marketing, and operational logistics for events at the venue.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including event organisers, local councils, and government agencies to ensure infrastructure, services, and compliance needs are met.
- Lead on-the-ground operations by supervising contingent workforce and managing key functional areas during events.
- Evaluate and improve event performance through monitoring, reporting, and maintaining accurate records of staffing, operations, finances, and site requirements.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required
Essential Requirements
- Class C Drivers licence
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
