The role  

At AMRF, the Engineer Manufacturing plays a hands-on role in shaping world-class precision machining solutions. You’ll be engineering and programming CNC platforms, collaborating with vendors, and optimizing manufacturing processes from start to finish. It’s about blending technical expertise with creativity—selecting tooling, validating programs, and solving complex machining challenges alongside a passionate team. 

The role isn’t just about machines—it’s about people, innovation, and adaptability. You’ll help build AMRF’s global reputation by mentoring junior engineers, making smart decisions even when information is incomplete, and staying ahead of industry trends. It’s a dynamic environment where precision meets possibility, and every challenge is a chance to push boundaries.

What you will bring to the role  

  • Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality design engineering projects compliant with project objectives, quality and customer expectations, safety and environmental standards, time, budget, and resource constraints.  

  • Previous experience working with precision machining, aerospace composites, precision inspection and additive manufacturing in an industrial setting.  

  • Working knowledge and understanding of 3D design and simulation software, and technical drawings per ASME Y14.5 or AS1100.  

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for modifying/writing post processors.  

  • Demonstrated experience in programming multi-axis (>4 axes) CNC platforms in an industrial setting.  

What is an essential requirement: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, industrial design, or related disciplines, or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.  

  • Previous operational experience working with precision machining equipment delivering components that meet exacting standards.

By delivering state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing facilities within the Bradfield City Centre, BDA is supporting the accelerated adoption of manufacturing technology for industrial organisations, leading to increased industrial activity and driving investment into Australia’s newest city in 100 years, Bradfield.
