The role

CCNSW is leading the transformation of the interment sector so that all people in NSW have access to sustainable, affordable and culturally appropriate services which are provided in a consistent, transparent and accountable manner.

 

We are currently seeking to appoint a Manager Regulatory Strategy to define and drive improvements in the interment sector through education and guidance to ensure interment operators adopt target behaviours in line with legislation and organisational goals.

 

As the Manager Regulatory Strategy, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Leading the development of practices, operational Policy, processes, tools and intelligence initiatives to improve regulatory program delivery and stakeholder outcomes
  • Developing and implementing engagement, consultation and education approaches to involve, collaborate with and empower the regulated community and improve operational and regulatory outcomes
  • Leading the development, implementation and review of measures, targets, key performance indicators, and monitoring and reporting procedures to support the delivery of regulatory programs
  • Applying critical analysis and strategic thinking to review regulatory programs to inform and support best practice operational options and strategies including any policy responses that may be required

What you will bring to the role

  • Possess a strong background in regulatory affairs, policy development, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex policy and legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a high-volume environment, ensuring robust processes are applied and workload across the team is effectively managed. 

 

What is an Essential Requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in strategic policy development, regulation, program development or a related discipline
  • Driver’s licence and ability to travel throughout the state of NSW
