  • 2x Program Support Officers, Early Change Monitoring Program (Environment Officer Class 5)
  • Temporary full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity until 30 June 2026 with possibility of extension
  • Location negotiable within NSW. Regional location and hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $91,673 to $101,957 + Super

 

Are you keen to join a dedicated, passionate, and supportive team working to prevent harm to our environment?

We’re currently seeking to appoint two Program Support Officers, Early Change Monitoring Program, to work in a wonderful team delivering the Early Change Monitoring Program; a state-wide program that uses satellite imagery to detect vegetation clearing and enable early intervention with landholders.

In this role, you will assist in the delivery of land and vegetation monitoring programs and projects by providing geographical information systems (GIS) skills and engaging with internal and external stakeholders where required.

 

Key knowledge and experience

  • Experience in aerial photo interpretation, remote sensing, and use of ArcGIS programs such as ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience in undertaking environmental assessments
  • Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflict

 

About You

Are you a motivated and collaborative professional with experience in environmental assessment? You’ll need experience with GIS tools, such as ArcGIS Pro, remote sensing analysis, and be ready to support innovative compliance programs that deliver real conservation outcomes.

You will need strong analytical skills, commitment to quality results, and a proactive approach to ensure timely, accurate advice and program support, while having respect for diverse communities and willingness to travel reflect your dedication to protecting NSW’s environment and heritage.

If you communicate clearly, engage effectively with landholders and stakeholders to promote voluntary compliance, and thrive on working both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team we need you

 

Essential requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
