EnergyCo is the Infrastructure Planner who is now delivering the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone — a nation-leading project unlocking 4.5 GW of clean energy, billions in private investment, and 5,000+ construction jobs across approximately 20,000 square kilometres centred by Dubbo and Dunedoo, on the land of the Wiradjuri, Wailwan and Kamilaroi people.

Join the team in Project Delivery – the Project Delivery team is at the core of the CWO REZ rollout, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong governance, and contract oversight. The team also manages key interfaces with councils and mines, supporting Third-Party Agreements and keeping the project moving with precision and accountability. Our EnergyCo NSW Central West Orana Project Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint two experienced Senior Project Officers to lead and coordinate key workstreams across priority infrastructure projects, including Renewable Energy Zones, new electricity transmission networks and supporting infrastructure. These roles will oversee project planning, implementation, reporting and risk management to drive the delivery of major milestones within a complex stakeholder environment.
Options to work from both Mudgee or Sydney, however, those based in Mudgee will also be required at times to work from the Sydney CBD office. We will be looking to create a talent pool for upcoming future opportunities across both areas.
About You
You are an experienced project professional, ideally with a background in project delivery in major projects or similar. You have previous experience in government, infrastructure or related sectors and a proven ability to problem solve in complex project environments and high-pressure situations. You bring a mix of technical understanding and strong stakeholder engagement skills, ability to influence decision-makers, navigate competing priorities and can bring together the right people and information to drive outcomes.
Ideally, you have exposure to planning approvals, commercial and technical challenges and community-facing issues on major projects. You thrive on solving problems creatively and thinking on your feet. You’re comfortable working across diverse workstreams, knowing when to draw on the expertise of others to facilitate best for project outcomes. Your ability to build trusted relationships will be key to your success.
Travel to regional areas for stakeholder meetings at times will be required and in order to do this, you will ideally hold a current class C NSW Drivers license.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
