- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $145,378 to $168,130 + super
Seize the opportunity to shine as a Principal Project Officer in the Policy and Engagement Branch within the Business Delivery division of NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service!
The Principal Project Officer will lead the NPWS Spatial Modernisation project aimed at improving and modernising the use of Esri products across NPWS including database, desktop and field tools. Spatial data is critical to the delivery of NPWS operations and the project will support over 2000 staff across all levels of operations. Please refer to the SoW for more information on this role.
About You
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- A strong foundation in spatial concepts and the Esri suite of tools for mapping, spatial analysis, and data management.
- Experience in managing complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven leadership in system innovation, strategic planning and excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for a range of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve multiple project objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining an effective governance framework, managing risk, issues, benefits and priorities to deliver results in relation to agreed project outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience along with strong organisational skills to plan, manage and deliver multiple projects on time and within resources
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial, governance and risk management standards and practices associated with project management
