About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Project Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer to coordinate and support complex projects that drive informed decisions and accelerate infrastructure delivery across the energy sector. These projects are essential for delivering the NSW Government Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and supporting EnergyCo’s role as Infrastructure Planner of the declared Renewable Energy Zones.
The Project Delivery team manages the strategic development and delivery of major enabling infrastructure projects which support the construction of Renewable Energy Zones across the State.
The role provides organisational advice to inform government programs and coordinates high level cross-agency projects, supporting an established, high functioning team through a blend of project coordination, operational support and collaborative engagement across agencies, ensuring projects are delivered in line with strategic objectives.
Alongside its project delivery focus, the role manages reporting, correspondence and administrative functions that ensure initiatives progress efficiently. It plays a key part in monitoring progress, resolving issues and maintaining stakeholder engagement. No two days are the same — you’ll work on varied tasks that keep projects moving and help deliver government programs with real impact.
About You
You bring proven expertise in project management, ideally with a deep understanding of public sector processes, intergovernmental engagement, and the coordination required to keep complex projects moving. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you excel at managing priorities, preparing high-quality reports and providing evidence-based advice to support decision-making. Your ability to navigate sensitive issues, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and work independently ensures you deliver outcomes in line with strategic objectives.
A natural all-rounder, you combine strong administrative capability with sharp research skills and a structured, solutions-focused approach. You’re confident with managing deadlines, making day-to-day decisions regarding your work whilst knowing when to escalate or seek input to keep projects on track. With a talent for distilling complex information, recommending improvements and coordinating contributions from diverse teams, you bring a steady hand and a professional, proactive mindset to every task you undertake.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in providing project management and operational support
