  • Package includes salary, depending on experience, $84,659.00 to $92,701.00 (full time salary) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Ongoing Part time role available, 21hrs/wk.
  • Located in Yarrangobilly Caves in Kosciuszko National Park

 

About the role

The National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Administration Support Officer to contribute towards the conservation and protection of the natural environment and Indigenous and European heritage. Working as part of the small team operating the busy Yarrangobilly Caves visitor precinct in a remote part of Kosciuszko National Park, this important role provides administration support for the Yarrangobilly Caves precinct. This includes the retail shop, tours, and accommodation, along with a range of administrative support services to facilitate the operation of the team utilising a wide range of administrative applications for purchasing and invoice processing, asset management, records management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination and HR administration.

 

Working closely with the Caves Supervisor you will be relied upon to utilise your savvy systems, administrative and finance skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This position is integral to the smooth running of the precinct which also includes serving customers at the visitor centre front counter. You will be providing information about Yarrangobilly and the surrounding area and selling tour tickets and retail items from the shop.

 

About You

 

You will be able to demonstrate superior communication skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to meet deadlines and provide support within a busy, dynamic and diverse work environment. You will have demonstrably strong people management and program coordination skills, financial management experience and ideally have previous experience in a similar administration role with knowledge of SAP, records management CM10, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Your ability to work collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders will be highly valued in this role as well as working independently with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve. 

 

Key knowledge and experience

 

• Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer-based systems such as word

processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.

• Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and

contract administration.
