  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $113,574 to $125,720 + super

The role

You’ll be part of the Environmental Management Group’s Sustainability team, delivering innovative projects that support NSW Government goals on Net Zero, circular economy and sustainable development. You will provide guidance and set the plan for Property and Development NSW and other NSW Government agencies to achieve their Net Zero ambitions.

Our Sustainability Analyst supports the identification, implementation, management and review of programs and projects designed to assist PDNSW and its agency stakeholders to at least meet their obligations under the Net Zero Government Operations Policy (NZGO) and other relevant sustainability policies and frameworks.

This is an exciting opportunity to be hands-on in the development and delivery of the processes and projects that make sustainability real and measurable in the public sector.

 

About You

You will work within a team to drive ongoing sustainability monitoring and performance for PDNSW’s property portfolio including certifications in NABERS, Green Star and Climate Active. You will draw on data analytics, BMS insights, IoT and other smart monitoring systems to drive operational efficiencies and identify and implement improvement strategies.

You will work collaboratively with numerous internal and external stakeholders to deliver highly efficient and sustainable assets whilst providing outstanding customer service. You will and engage effectively and employ a range of communication techniques to contribute to PDNSW’s sustainability objectives including NZGO compliance, NABERS certifications, Circularity within our office portfolio, Green Star certifications and our Net Zero ambitions.

 

Key Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and interpretation.  Particularly energy, water, waste, indoor environment and circularity.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of Green Star, NABERS and Climate Active certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of principles of circularity and net zero.

 

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or other relevant discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of NABERS suite of certifications, GreenStar Buildings and Fit-outs / Interiors
  • A current and valid Australian full driver’s licence (travel within NSW is required)
