Our Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulation (CPHR) team is currently seeking to appoint two team members to support the delivery of the Conservation and Heritage Regulator (CHR) Implementation Plan.  This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the new Regulator. The new CHR will bring together existing regulatory functions into a single, purpose-built division in the CPHR group

The officers will work as part of a small team supporting the Deputy Secretary, Conservation Programs, Heritage and Regulation Group. Reporting to the Director, CHR implementation and undertaking a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.

 

About You

You’re an experienced officer who’s confident managing complex work across governance, risk, and strategic planning. You know how to turn data and policy into practical solutions, and you’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with broader organisational goals.

You’re organised, adaptable, and thrive in busy environments. Whether it’s preparing briefings, coordinating meetings, or responding to high-level requests, you bring clarity and professionalism to everything you do. You’re a strong communicator, skilled at building relationships and navigating competing priorities to deliver results.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, and to quality standards, and demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
