Our EnergyCo NSW Finance and Operations team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager Business Planning & Analysis to step into this 4-month role and make an immediate impact at EnergyCo. Working side-by-side with the CFO and senior leaders, you’ll provide sharp financial insights that shape strategy, drive investment decisions, and optimise budget allocation across our EnergyCo portfolio including Capital projects. It’s a fast-paced, high-profile role—perfect for someone ready to showcase their expertise, broaden their influence, and gain valuable experience in a complex, high-impact environment.
About You
You’re a confident and experienced finance leader who thrives operating with autonomy and accountability. With a sharp eye for accuracy and quality, you deliver robust advice and information that senior leaders can rely on. Your expertise spans funding needs analysis, financial modelling, governance, and controls, backed by a strong understanding of NSW Government Sector finance legislation, policies, and Australian Accounting Standards.
You have a proven track record in managing budgets, cashflow, and forecasting in both operational and project environments, including major capital projects. As a skilled business partner, you’re adept at building strong relationships, navigating challenges, and influencing decision-making. You’re ready to step in, hit the ground running, and provide the strategic financial leadership needed to support high-stakes projects in a complex, fast-paced setting.
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualification in Commerce or Business, and membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Charter Accountants Australia New Zealand.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
