  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $115,817 to $130,667 + super 

 

About the team

The DCCEEW Social Media Team crafts and implements social media strategies to engage diverse audiences on topics such as our transition to Net Zero and the protection and enhancement of our environment and heritage. A critical role of this in-house team is ensuring our output is on brand, complies with relevant governance models and both enhances and protects the department’s reputation.

About the role

The Social Media Advisor creates compelling and audience-centric content for DCCEEW channels that is best in class and adds value to the lives of NSW residents. You have sound knowledge of the latest social media trends, are across pop culture and understand how to capture attention in a noisy online world. You will confidently engage with stakeholders and make evidence-based recommendations around social media activity.

About you

You are an experienced and proactive social media professional passionate about creating engaging and exciting content. To be successful in in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience managing social media channels, especially in the environment or energy sector.
  • Strong skills in content creation (video editing, graphic design, photo editing).
  • Familiar with social media and pop culture trends and how to apply these to achieve a communications objective
  • Experience in reporting on social media performance, including providing solid rationale and evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project management skills.
