  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $141,175 - $164,405 + super

The Role

The Senior Manager Acquisitions is responsible for delivering high value land acquisition programs for both the Office of Strategic Lands (OSL) and external agencies within timeframes and budgetary constraints and for managing the litigation that accompanies large scale land acquisition programs. The role is also responsible for meeting legislative requirements and policy best practice as established by the Centre for Property Acquisitions.

About You

You’ll be comfortable providing expert quality strategic advice to the Director, Executive Director, Deputy Secretary, Secretary and Minister on the land acquisitions and future land uses.

Additionally, you’ll have sound commercial governance and risk management experience and can develop and maintain an acquisition strategy to plan future acquisition programs.

Your ability to develop a strategic and flexible approach to land acquisition to capitalise on market fluctuations to maximise available funds will be crucial to your role.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, managing teams, and the ability to operate in an evolving and faced paced environment will be key to your success.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in land economics, property valuation or other relevant property related discipline.
  • Extensive experience with the application and interpretation of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act and associated legal processes as they apply to land acquisition.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in developing and delivering land acquisition strategic projects to ensure accountability.
