  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 + super

 

This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual to take an important next step in their career in anticipation of future Senior Executive roles. The Executive Officer is a pivotal role supporting the senior leadership and driving strategic outcomes across the Corporate and Enabling Services Group and interfacing across DCCEEW and the NSW Public Sector.

As the Executive Officer, you’ll work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to provide high-level strategic support and operational assistance to ensure the Group delivers quality and timely corporate and enabling services to the department to help meet government priorities and fulfil statutory functions and drives innovation across the sector for corporate and enabling services.  

This role is ideal for someone who is self-directed, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional communication skills, and can juggle competing priorities with finesse and is looking to broaden their skillset and take on some challenges.

This is a chance to take on a high-impact role, where you will build your understanding of key strategic and enabling functions (Finance & Procurement; Governance & Legal; People, Culture & Safety; Technology & Data; Program and Portfolio management) build your leadership profile, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction of the Department. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values initiative, integrity, and innovation.

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will need proven experience in project delivery, policy development or operations. It will be essential to have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

You will possess sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

You are looking to take the next step in your career – perhaps moving from subject matter expertise to having broader, more strategic understanding of the corporate and enabling functions that support and drive successful delivery and innovation.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience delivering policy and project outcomes, strategic planning     or performance improvement within a complex, sensitive and high-volume environment.
