The role
The Senior Correspondence Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, timely Executive, Ministerial, and Parliamentary support services. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, the role is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and reviewing briefings and correspondence on behalf of senior executives. It ensures alignment with strategic and operational objectives through effective workflow management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of administrative practices. The officer also provides high-level advice and maintains robust systems and procedures to support informed decision-making and organisational outcomes. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is highly organised with strong written communication skills.

Senior Correspondence Officer
What you will bring to the role
As Senior Correspondence Officer, you will manage the delivery of high-quality and timely Executive, Ministerial and Parliamentary support services. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation, coordination and review of briefings, correspondence and high-level advice for Ministers, Parliament and senior executives, ensuring timely, accurate and strategic responses.
- Coordination, research, preparation and review of high-level advice, communications, submissions, reports, and publications, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
- Managing workflows, records systems and reporting for Ministerial, Parliamentary and executive communications.
- Maintaining and enhancing guidelines and procedures for correspondence and briefings, while supporting staff development through coaching and feedback.
- Improving and maintaining administrative systems to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with agency standards.
What is an essential requirement:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience delivering briefings and correspondence in a complex, sensitive and high-volume environment with strong writing skills.
