About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Leasing and Property Management team. 

 

As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in securing leases and licences with third parties to enhance visitor experiences in our national parks. This involves promoting leasing and licencing opportunities, negotiating agreements, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies, providing expert advice, developing strong relationships with stakeholders, preparing documentation and ensuring optimal outcomes.

 

About you

You will have proven experience in a property, procurement or legal field, strong negotiation and contract management skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to effectively manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and be adept at providing expert advice.

 

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
  • Project management skills and experience with an understanding of contemporary best practice in procurement, tendering and contract preparation, in managing project teams, consultants and contractors, and in applying environmental safety and risk management policies and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and reviewing strategic plans, policies and programs, and in providing strategic and operational advice and recommendations to senior management.
