  • Sydney or NSW location by negotiation
  • Hybrid working from home and office supported
  • Salary range from $120,859 to $133,183 plus super and leave loading

 

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean, affordable and reliable electricity for households and businesses across NSW as our existing power stations retire. EnergyCo is leading the development of Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and priority transmission infrastructure projects in NSW.

 

About the Opportunity

 

EnergyCo’s South West REZ Project Team (within the Project Delivery team) is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer Energy Infrastructure to join a small multidisciplinary team to lead and undertake project work to enable the successful coordination and delivery of the South West REZ. You will lead project workstreams to achieve milestones, coordinate resources, engage stakeholders and support the successful delivery of the South West REZ.

 

EnergyCo’s role in the South West REZ includes coordinating the delivery of renewable generation and storage projects and transmission network projects, working with host communities and local governments, and engaging across the NSW government to support the successful delivery of the REZ.

 

You will be working alongside the Manager Program Delivery to deliver key outcomes for EnergyCo. The South West REZ Project Team works with subject matter experts across EnergyCo and beyond to support all aspects of the project including project management and community engagement, energy and engineering, policy and regulation, and commercial and financial.  

 

About You

 

You will have experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and as a natural team player, you can hit the ground running with a “can do” attitude.

You will have strong project management and problem-solving skills, with an understanding of government processes. Experience in the Energy Sector is an advantage.

Our ideal applicant will also have experience in delivering complex projects or advising on critical decisions in a high-pressure environment.

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Who we are?

 

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
