  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $120,859to $133,183 + super

The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint Senior Project Officers in a full-time temporary capacity to December 2026 supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects across NSW.

About the Role 

In this role you will lead project delivery management and support activities to contribute to the delivery of a range of projects, including design, procurement, management of construction, and handover to asset owners, all within established project scope, objectives, budget and timeframes.

The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex infrastructure projects to achieve outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives, working collaboratively with industry partners to achieve outcomes.

About You

You will establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met. You will support management of project team/s and lead across the focus area’s of cost control and forecasting, scheduling, commercial and contract administration, land & property matters and records management ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes.

You will be responsible for achieving project deadlines to the required standards and within budget, given the need to simultaneously coordinate and deliver multiple projects which are often complex and interconnected. You will Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project and priorities.
