The role

Property and Development NSW (PDNSW) is responsible for the management and delivery of large scale or complex real estate projects, transactions, workplace strategy, design and delivery, including the management of the NSW Government’s significant property portfolio. Our services address the NSW Government’s Priorities and State Outcomes by delivering optimal community benefit from government land and property including sustainable and productive outcomes for metro and regional industries and communities. 

 

As a Senior Project Manager, within the Strategic Advisory Services team, your role will be to lead a team to develop, manage and deliver advisory and transaction projects for government property assets and portfolios. The role works closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Ideally you will have demonstrable experience in property development management and a strong understanding of government property.

What you will bring to the role

  • The ability to understand and apply effective project planning methods and prioritise workloads with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to provide expert informed and considered advice on property related matters to key stakeholders including executives, ministerial advisers, and agency clients.
  • The ability to lead and manage a team to achieve the development and transaction objectives for property assets, portfolios and projects.
  • The ability to lead and oversee all aspects of project development and implementation to realise optimal project outcomes for a diverse range of property types allowing for factors including urban design, environmental, planning and heritage constraints, political and community interests and landscape challenges.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communications skills to enable management of technical contractors and consultants including managing governance, risk, compliance and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations. 
  • Creativity and innovation to bring fresh ideas and approaches to problem-solving and project development. 

 

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a property related discipline which may include planning, property valuation/economics, property law, project management, property development or engineering.
