  • Hourly casual rate starting from $38.71 (Clerk Grade ½)



The role
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they have a memorable experience through exceptional customer service. You’ll provide information about the Garden’s unique activities, handle merchandise sales, and manage administrative tasks. Collaborating closely with the events team, you'll ensure smooth operations and promote return visits by maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.

You’ll navigate a high volume of enquiries and customer needs with limited supervision while staying up-to-date on the Garden’s offerings. This is a unique opportunity to work in a stunning World Heritage-listed location, supporting conservation efforts and being part of a passionate team.

What you will bring to the role

  • At least five years of customer service experience, with a strong focus on delivering excellent visitor experiences.
  • Proven knowledge of computer systems and software, with solid administrative skills.
  • Ideally, you bring experience from the tourism industry and a background in sales or retail.
  • Horticultural knowledge is a plus, enhancing your ability to engage visitors in the Garden’s unique offerings.
  • Experience with event booking platforms would be an advantage, enabling you to manage bookings efficiently.
  • Ability to be on call when required.



What is an essential requirement:

  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
  • Current driver’s licence
