  • Package includes salary from $125,487 - $138,386 p.a. + super
  • 2x Temporary full-time roles up until 31 December 2025
  • Located in Parramatta - with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for two driven leaders to manage direct reports within the State Heritage Register Listing team of its Heritage Programs branch.

The Environment & Heritage (E&H) Group within Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) brings together a range of functions including cultural heritage management, national park management, biodiversity and conservation, climate change, sustainability, resilience and adaptation, renewable energy and energy security, and circular economy policy.

Supported by the Manager of the State Heritage Register Listing team you will drive the strategic direction and annual work plan to meet program goals and heritage outcomes. You will provide expert technical guidance on the assessment of heritage significance using the Heritage Council of NSW State heritage significance criteria and the State’s historical thematic framework. You will coordinate the preparation of accurate and timely written reports, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of listing matters. You will guide the direction for community and stakeholder engagement and attend meetings. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement in processes, as well as staff management and development.

 

About You

You’ll have a combination of technical experience and leadership skills. You will make an important contribution to team culture, collaborating with the Manager and your fellow Team Leader to drive great heritage outcomes in line with organisational goals.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in heritage, history, archaeology, architecture, Aboriginal cultural heritage management or relevant field.
  • Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
