The role

Join a collegiate and dedicated team in this critical leadership role.

 

This role:

  • Manages the team responsible for the delivery of spatial and data services, the provision of technical support and maintenance of applications and data analytics across Crown Lands.
  • Leads significant initiatives to improve the delivery of data services, quality, analytics and maintenance.
  • Advocates for and manages the continuous improvement of data and systems support services.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, vendors, system users and customers to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of data services and governance in Crown Lands.

 

The purpose of the team is to deliver high quality, reliable spatial and data services to internal and external stakeholders. The role also leads the development and maintenance of Geographic Information System (GIS) applications to drive data quality and business processes improvements, customer, and user experience.

 

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong vendor management experience.
  • Experience in managing and developing operational services and/or project delivery teams.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship management experience.
  • Experience in implementing business and operational continuous improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges, risks and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Knowledge of data applications and the utilisation of database and/or geographic information systems to improve the integrity and quality of data and related services.
  • Understanding of data maintenance, extraction and analysis.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Applications, or similar discipline and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
