Our Senior Data Scientist undertakes complex data analytics, interpreting the results of the analysis, providing specialist expert advice and insights to inform decision making and policy. The role is responsible for delivering data analytics projects and products and works closely with different business areas including policy teams, data engineers and data analysts.
What you will bring to the role
Collaborate with technical experts to develop and implement technological solutions to extracting and analysing large and diverse data sets and manage, update and monitor statistical data and information sources, ensuring data is current, relevant to the applicable sectors.
Work closely with the Manager Data & Analytics to develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality, interpreting data, and analysing results using statistical techniques to deliver deeper insights into existing datasets and maintaining currency across latest industry developments.
Key knowledge and experience
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Experience in analysing large and multiple sets of data, trend analysis and methodologies.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science or relevant field or equivalent experience
