About the role

The Senior Project Officer leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex projects to support the NSW Strategy for the Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence through the sport system. This role involves managing project planning, resources, budgets, and stakeholder relationships to ensure timely and effective project outcomes. In this role, you will be required to navigate diverse stakeholder expectations, meet tight deadlines while addressing the sensitive nature of the projects.

About you

In addition to interest and passion to develop and deliver strategic projects focusing on Primary Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence 2024–2028, our ideal candidate will bring to the role:

  • Prior experience managing complex projects ensuring timely and effective project outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience collaborating, influencing and negotiating across diverse stakeholders.
  • Expertise in monitoring and evaluating project progress, addressing issues, and ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements to successfully deliver key project milestones and outcomes.
  • Proven research and analytical skills to drive project planning and support informed decision making.
  • Ability to navigate complex environments, applying a culturally safe and trauma-informed approach to project delivery.
  • Knowledge of state and federal frameworks related to domestic, family and sexual violence prevention.
