About the role

The Project Officer contributes to the development and delivery of programs aimed to support the NSW Strategy for the Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence through the sport system. This role involves managing project activities, monitoring progress, and providing updates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. In this function you will be handling projects with tight deadlines, limited resources, and sensitive requirements.

About you

In addition to interest and passion to support the development and delivery of strategic projects focusing on Primary Prevention of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence 2024–2028, our ideal candidate will bring to the role

  • Prior experience supporting multiple complex projects with competing priorities and tight timeframes.
  • Proven research and analytical skills to support project planning and informed decision making.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches, particularly in community focused initiatives.
  • Awareness of relevant state and federal frameworks related to domestic, family and sexual violence prevention.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, prioritisation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology for project tracking, reporting and communication.
