Our Business Advisory team is currently seeking to appoint Business Advisors to take the lead role in providing business and financial advisory services for various assigned divisions within the department.
The Group Finance division develops, manages and advises on systems, infrastructure, policies and standards for the department in the areas of finance, procurement and administration, asset management, information and communication technology.
About the role
As a Business Advisor, you will be the expert in managing critical information systems ensuring accuracy of financial data to support business performance in line with corporate goals/ government objectives. You will maintain accurate information collection for finalising detailed budgets, accounts and reports in a timely manner to meet corporate and internal business customer requirements.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing analytical support services to respond to client requests and support business case development and decision making.
- Preparing advice on complex financial and related issues in the form of briefs, reports and papers to respond to Departmental requests for information.
- Identifying and delivering finance and related initiatives in partnership with other stakeholders and teams to build performance that supports people and business objectives.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, and experience using financial systems such as SAP/MWZ and PRIME/CM9/CM10 is desirable
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
