Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Team Leader, who has supervisory and team leadership skills for the implementation of field and operational activities.

 

  • Temporary full-time role up to March 2026
  • Located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
  • Package includes base salary of $86,105.00 (if the successful candidate has all licences & tickets would be + 27.58%) plus employer's contribution to superannuation
  • Great opportunity to work at a world heritage site at an idyllic location and play a pivotal role in the creation of life changing visitor experiences

 

 

About the role

 

As the Facilities Maintenance Team Leader, you will coordinate and supervise Technical Services employees and other staff to ensure the efficient undertaking of works and maintenance duties, contributing to the organisation’s obligations and aims, within the Visitor Use and Services Zone, in terms of the enhancement and preservation of natural resources, fixed assets and cultural heritage. 

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • Demonstrated well-developed supervisory and team leadership skills for the implementation of field and operational activities, including the construction and maintenance of buildings, utilities such as power and water, grounds and gardens.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in cost estimation, budgeting and planning and programming.
  • Experience or detailed knowledge of various trades.
  • Relevant SafeWork NSW certification, ability and experience in the operation of machinery, plant and equipment for maintenance/construction work, including chainsaws to basic tree felling standard.

The Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is responsible for the care, control & management of the Jenolan Visitor Use and Services Zone. This is regarded as being both environmentally and culturally significant. The Visitor Use and Services Zone includes, but is not restricted to, Caves House, retail areas, kitchen areas, front office, staff and guest accommodation, walking tracks, maintenance areas and the Caves System.
