The role
As a Community Engagement Advisor, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how communities engage with key Government initiatives. You’ll support engagement strategies that connect people with projects that shape their future.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and implementation of community engagement programs for high-profile projects.
- Plan, coordinate and support community consultation activities, including events, workshops, forums, polls, and surveys.
- Provide advice and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with events specialists to plan, design, and deliver impactful community engagement events.
- Create engaging content to keep communities and stakeholders informed, including presentations, newsletters, and digital materials.
- Build and maintain a stakeholder database to track engagement and inform future strategies.

What you will bring to the role:
You’re a natural problem solver who can navigate complex issues with confidence. You understand how to engage with communities effectively and can balance competing priorities with ease.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have a background in community engagement, with experience designing and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Can manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Are skilled in working with senior stakeholders and providing data-driven insights.
- Bring a creative and adaptable approach to engagement strategies.
Key Knowledge and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or related discipline and/or relevant extensive experience.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering digital engagement initiatives in a complex and diverse operating environment.
