Heritage NSW works with communities to protect, celebrate, and manage our incredible heritage across the state. About you
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in managing grant programs, from design and development to implementation and governance. You must exhibit strong communication skills, capable of translating complex information clearly and concisely for diverse audiences. You should be confident in liaising with various stakeholder groups and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes and excellent customer service. You will be required to build strong relationships across government agencies and with key external stakeholders, bringing a collaborative approach to information sharing, proactive planning, and effective project development. Moreover, you should demonstrate a commitment to embracing innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices in all aspects of your work.
About the role
As the Senior Grants Officer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation and delivery of various heritage grant initiatives, programs and projects. You will manage the bi-annual grants cycle, including applications, assessments and the administration of the Heritage Grants program. You will also contribute to the strategic framework, ensuring alignment with heritage objectives, and maintain high standards of probity, governance, and risk management.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing the financial aspects of grant programs and ensuring compliance with budgets and statutory requirements.
- Assessing, evaluating, and selecting projects for heritage grant funding, while monitoring and reporting on their outcomes
- Collaborating with stakeholders to review and enhance the NSW Heritage Grants Program and identify funding opportunities.
Knowledge and Experience
- Sound experience in the analysis, design, development, implementation and governance of grant funding programs and projects.
