  • Play a key role in the organisation and administration of NSW’s Energy portfolio. 
  • Permanent full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity.
  • Office location – Parramatta Square, with hybrid working supported.
  • Environment Officer Grade 10 - $130,506 - $143,921 plus super

 

Our team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Advisor within the Office of the Executive Director.

Energy Division drives policies, programs, regulations and legislation focused on providing reliable, affordable, safe, and secure energy to households and businesses of New South Wales.

The Senior Advisor leads coordination, reporting, secretariat, project and policy support services to the Executive Director, and the Division more broadly, to ensure high-quality information and advice is provided in a timely manner to facilitate decision making and the achievement of strategic goals and objectives.

 

About You

Are you able to operate in a high-volume work environment with competing demands, multiple priorities, strict deadlines and changing parameters? Can you exercise astute judgement and initiative and utilise proper processes in handling confidential and sensitive information that has the potential to impact on organisational performance or reputation? Do you use tact and judgement in liaising with staff, including senior management, to obtain clarification, seek additional information and edit written material? If so, this could be the role for you.

 

Essential Requirements –

  • Extensive experience preparing and editing high quality written material, reports, speeches, briefings and responses to Ministerial and Executive correspondence, House-folder notes, Parliamentary Questions.
  • Tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in a Ministerial or executive support role will be viewed favourably.
