  • Generous remuneration package, Clerk Grade 11/12 - Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $145,378.00 - $168,130.00 + super

As the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure grapples with some of the biggest challenges facing the State we know our success depends on our people. To ensure that we have the workforce to meet these challenges our People and Culture team are seeking a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead and develop a high performing team of leaders and specialists responsible for the creation and implementation of a range innovative strategies designed to attract and build a skilled and purposeful workforce.

As the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition, you’ll lead your teams to deliver innovative and service orientated and provide expert and data-led advice to clients. Ensuring an outstanding recruitment experience for both hiring managers and candidates, mitigating risks and ensuring the integrity of the recruitment process are core to this role.  You’ll collaborate widely to manage and provide solutions for escalations and design and implement proactive recruitment solutions to address demand and ensure our workforce reflects the diversity of our communities.

This is an exciting time to join our Talent Acquisition and Strategy team as we embark on a period of change focused on building a contemporary talent acquisition service delivery model and integrating effectively with our other People and Culture functions to deliver on our workforce strategy ensuring we have the workforce to support the current and future direction of the Department.

About you
You are an experienced and dynamic Talent Acquisition leader with proven experience guiding and developing service-oriented talent teams and transforming recruitment service delivery to enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience and uplift the role of the Recruiter. You will possess exceptional communication skills and be comfortable advising and partnering with senior executive stakeholders and collaborating across business units to design and implement innovative recruitment strategies. Central to your success will be your ability to undertake data-led decision making and work across the P&C function to successfully deliver programs.

This role presents an opportunity to join a highly committed and collaborative team of specialists at a time when you can drive optimisation in the way we deliver our services and identify and implement priority programs.

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience in leading recruitment teams/functions including the development and implementation of targeted recruitment strategies and the management and optimisation of a customer service focused team.
  • Experience in transforming recruitment service delivery to better leverage technology and automation; enhance candidate and hiring manager experience and uplift the role of talent acquisition.
