  • Education & Community Programs Officers – Greater Sydney Parklands
  • Casual Opportunities up until June 2026 with view to extend, weekend work required
  • Multiple roles available, based at the Centennial Parklands, Callan Park, Parramatta Park, and Western Sydney Parklands.
  • Clerk Grade 5/6, attractive casual hourly rate starting from $53.12 per hour + casual loading + super + penalty rates for weekend/public holiday work

The Role
A fantastic opportunity exists for Education and Community Programs Officers to join our passionate team of educators, delivering transformative formal and non-formal learning experiences to foster connection to nature through curiosity and understanding. This is a hands-on role, delivering exciting community programs and NSW curriculum linked school programs that promote nature connection in science, geography, the environment and other key learning areas. There are multiple roles available to be based at Centennial Park, Callan Park, Parramatta Park, and Western Sydney Parklands, with flexibility to work across multiple sites.


What You Will Bring to the Role
We're looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for outdoor education and community engagement. You should have experience delivering high-quality programs to diverse audiences, along with a strong understanding of educational structures and curriculum requirements. Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage bookings, and a willingness to work flexible hours are essential.


Desirable Experience

  • Early years teaching experience, or
  • Secondary teaching experience (especially from a geography or science background), or
  • Primary teaching experience, or 
  • Bush regeneration experience, or
  • Environmental and outdoor education experience



What is an essential requirement:

  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
  • Ability to lift 15kg several times a day.
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role.  The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
  • Current, or ability to obtain a First Aid qualification or equivalent.
  • Current NSW driver’s license.
