As a Systems Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of the organisation’s ICT operations, ensuring systems run smoothly and securely while providing technical support to users. Your role is all about keeping things efficient—whether it’s managing configurations, monitoring performance, or tackling support requests. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to improve processes, share knowledge, and identify opportunities to enhance business outcomes.
In addition to maintaining systems, you will be responsible for solving complex issues across diverse platforms while navigating the unique challenges of the public sector. Balancing multiple demands, meeting tight deadlines, and handling unexpected workload peaks will keep you on your toes, but your expertise in system integrity and change management will ensure reliable and effective ICT services.
Focusing on the successful delivery of the Windows Server fleet (VMWare\AWS\Azure) your role will be to administer, support, maintain and monitor these systems, and in addition provide web server system administration and support as required for the Digital Information Office (DIO) Business.
You will have a strong technical background in Microsoft Windows Server, PowerShell, Microsoft Internet information Service (IIS), Apache HTTP servers, SFTP service management, TLS certificate management and general platform support.
Being adept at dealing with the unexpected as well as juggling multiple priorities and demands, you’ll be a part of a customer focussed team that delivers and supports windows server fleet and web infrastructure services and caters to the differing expectations of stakeholders within a business-critical high-volume environment.
What you will bring to the role:

A detailed and current knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) administration including ASP.Net application administration, SFTP administration, multi domain management in a federated environment, TLS certificate configuration and management, and Web services administration.
Key knowledge and experience:

Systems Administration and configuration of technology solutions including planning, development, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of complex ICT systems.
