The role
You’ll be part of a team that brings science, geography, and nature to life through hands-on, engaging experiences for students and the broader community. Whether you are leading a kindergarten group, a primary or secondary school excursion or an adult group, you’ll use creativity and clear communication to make learning fun and memorable.

Working across beautiful outdoor locations, you’ll adapt your presentation to suit different ages, backgrounds and needs. You'll also help keep everyone safe, contribute to improving the content we deliver, and play a key role in shaping how visitors connect with nature at our iconic botanic gardens.

What you will bring to the role

• Experience delivering engaging, high-quality education programs for audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
• Confidence presenting face-to-face in public settings, with strong communication skills and a warm, customer-focused approach.
• A flexible schedule and willingness to work a variety of shifts across different locations.
• Passion for the natural world and a genuine interest in connecting people—especially young learners—with science and nature.
• Ability to deliver educational activities in outdoor or informal learning environments, such as gardens
• An engaging, energetic style with a talent for making learning fun, memorable, and meaningful.

What is an essential requirement:

• A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
