About us
Placemaking NSW is responsible for managing and caring for some of Sydney’s most iconic harbourside venues and locations, including The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and White Bay Power Station. We also lead the planning and delivery of the Bays West Urban Renewal Precinct, a state significant project that will bring new homes, jobs, and public spaces to 77 hectares of government-owned land just 2 kilometres from Sydney's CBD.
The role
This role keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes for our education and cultural programs. You’ll be managing client bookings, coordinating school visits and holiday activities, and making sure everything from rosters to financials are sorted. It’s a busy, varied role that supports the team to deliver high-quality experiences to students and teachers.
You'll work closely with schools, internal teams, and service partners to keep operations on track—from access and cleaning to customer service and accounts. Juggling priorities across different programs is part of the challenge, so strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills are key.

What you will bring to the role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate bookings, reporting and customer service delivery
- Proven time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, varied environment
- Prior experience working in the education space or with school-based programs is desirable
- General customer service experience, particularly managing bookings or client-facing services, is highly regarded
What is an essential requirement:
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
