- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $105,924 to $117,031 + super
Our Assurance and Biodiversity Stewardship Branch team is currently seeking to appoint a Project Officer to assist in the development and coordination of operational policy and programs, and in the provision of guidance and technical support to facilitate the regional delivery of conservation programs.
The role provides guidance and technical support to internal and external customers to enter into biodiversity stewardship agreements and undertakes spatial, eligibility and environmental assessment of applications consistent with the legislative framework and operational policies.
About You
To be successful in in the role you will have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines, while delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely advice and outcomes. Proven capacity to work autonomously and manage workload to meet agreed work plan objectives and project deadlines.
You will assist in the development, coordination and delivery of operational policy and programs. This will be through technical and administrative services, including undertaking analysis, assessments, drafting reports and submissions and correspondence on biodiversity and conservation issues. You will be proactive and adaptive to operational needs and contribute to the design and implementation of project deliverables.
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience in natural resource management and planning for environmental issues.
- Sound demonstrated knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for the successful delivery of programs in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks.
