About the role


The Systems Accountant is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of financial systems, with a focus on transaction processing, reporting, and system integration. The role leads the accounts receivable function and contributes to the development and implementation of new financial, budgeting, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities include managing system upgrades, ensuring alignment between business and finance systems, and maintaining data integrity across platforms such as SAP and Adaptive Insights.

About you

You will lead financial transaction processes, manage system upgrades, and deliver integrated solutions that enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency. You have a collaborative mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems (SAP and Adaptive Insights preferred), including chart of accounts and master data maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial systems operations, including accounts receivable and reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to lead system improvement projects, from user needs analysis to implementation and testing.
  • Skilled in identifying and delivering system integrations that reduce manual processes and improve data consistency.
  • Adept at problem-solving and providing user-friendly advice across varying levels of financial literacy.


Essential Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, eligible for membership of a professional accounting body or deemed equivalent experience.

 To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Pre-Employment Health Assessment.
