We are seeking a forward-thinking strategic leader to join the Office of Sport in shaping policy initiatives and reforms that influence sector wide outcomes across NSW

- Salary ranges from $ 149,739 to $ 173,174 + super & leave loading.
About the role
The Manager Policy and Strategy leads the development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of policy and program initiatives, strategies and reforms that support and grow sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all people across NSW. This role puts you at the forefront of driving impact as you shape strategic policy direction, foster cross-sector collaboration and steer working groups that tackle complex challenges to deliver meaningful outcomes that support the Office of Sport’s strategic priorities and NSW Government commitments.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven ability to lead the development and implementation of diverse policy and program initiatives and reforms, with extensive focus on evidence-based decision-making.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence diverse audiences and build consensus.
- Prior experience in leading a team to drive cross-agency collaboration, champion inclusive practices, and implement solutions that effectively reduced systemic barriers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of public sector operations, including regulatory frameworks, cabinet processes, and budget cycles, backed by proven government experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, strategic problem solving and prioritisation skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment to deliver impactful outcomes.
