Our Conservation Programs Heritage & Regulation (CPHR) team is currently seeking to appoint a Change Manager to lead the design and delivery of strategic change initiatives that support the successful implementation of our Digital Transformation program.
This is a pivotal role within the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), where you will work closely with senior leaders, project teams, and stakeholders to embed change, build organisational readiness, and ensure alignment with our broader conservation and regulatory objectives.
You will play a key role in shaping how change is experienced across the division, using structured methodologies to drive adoption, minimise resistance, and realise the full benefits of transformation.
About You
You are an experienced change professional with a strong track record in leading complex, multi-stakeholder change initiatives—particularly within digital or ICT environments. You bring a deep understanding of change management principles and frameworks, including Prosci and the ADKAR model, and know how to apply them in practical, outcome-focused ways.
Your ability to assess organisational readiness, develop tailored strategies, and measure adoption and impact will be critical to your success in this role.
Equally important are your interpersonal and communication skills. You’re a natural collaborator who builds trust and credibility with diverse stakeholders—from technical teams to executive leaders. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and influencing outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Your approach is inclusive, thoughtful, and grounded in a genuine commitment to public value and positive organisational culture.
Essential Requirements
- Prosci Change Management certification, with experience applying the ADKAR framework in an ICT environment.
