  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + superannuation + leave loading

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an analyst who is passionate about cyber security. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative team environment, learning how to detect, respond to and prevent cyber threats across government systems.

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing risks related to the secure use, processing, transmission and storage of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes. The role is focused on assessing and prioritising security risk across the organisation, compliance with information security frameworks and policies, and contributing to the development and reporting of information security metrics.

 

About You

Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of networks, operating systems, and basic security concepts. You will have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities. You must have a genuine interest in cyber security and staying ahead of emerging threats. We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and eager to learn.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in computer science, information and technology or related technical field and/or relevant experience.
  • Foundational understanding of Cyber Security and how to Prevent and Detect threats
  • Basic Programming knowledge (BASH, Powershell, Python)
  • Understanding of Cyber Security Controls and how to use them (Firewalls, Mail filtering systems, EDR, Vulnerability Assessment solutions etc.)
