About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for a Communications Officer to work as part of the Digital Unit team within the Visitor Engagement & Revenue Branch and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

As Communications Officer, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to edit, upload, and publish content to the NSW NPWS website, promoting safe visitation to our national parks and reserves. You will also deliver effective support and administrative services to meet the strategic objectives of NPWS and enhance customer-focused experiences. Along with ensuring that processes and systems are kept up to date to ensure the factual accuracy of existing website content.

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will: -

  • Provide effective content coordination and support services for the delivery and distribution of quality communication with appropriate branding and tone of voice.
  • Undertake content work using a customer-focused or user experience based (UX) approach.
  • Use digital systems to manage and deliver website content, including Sitecore CMS, Microsoft Word and Excel, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Support project planning, scoping and management by using and maintaining project management systems, processes and reporting.
  • Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline and/or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake and support the delivery of standards-based and customer-centric content for distribution through multiple channels.
