The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment & Water (DCCEEW) are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Officer to support the delivery of key initiatives within our IT Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working collaboratively to achieve project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities
- Prepare project documentation including reports, schedules, and communications
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment
- Track progress against milestones and escalate issues as needed
- Support governance processes including risk and issue management
- Manage budget tracking and procurement support activities
About You
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in project coordination or administration
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) is desirable
- Experience with systems such as MyWorkZone, OneProcure, and CS Connect is desirable
Essential requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or significant experience in projects involving the design, development and procurement of IT Infrastructure, systems or services
