About the Role
We’re looking for individuals who are natural organisers who love multi-tasking! The Administrative Support Officer provides quality customer service and administrative support services to the Sydney North Area team.
This pivotal role provides a wide range of administrative support services to facilitate the operation of the team such as financial and records management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination, HR administration and reporting.
Working closely with the Area Manager and team leaders you will be relied upon to communicate key information, management of due dates of tasks, financial processing and monitoring, recruitment, calendar management and day to day administrative tasks. To ensure the smooth running of the Area, you’ll utilise your savvy business systems knowledge (SAP, CM10, Microsoft Word and Excel) and superior organisational and communication skills.
The role supervises an assistant administration officer, casual visitor services assistants and also assists a team of field staff with their routine admin and other needs.
About you
Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of organising their own workload, and demonstrate strong time management skills. The successful applicant will have a proven background showcasing excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive and friendly attitude, and the capability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of staff within the agency and key stakeholders. You will adopt a flexible approach to your work in this dynamic environment and thrive in a busy setting to meet tight deadlines.
You should be a confident, innovative, and motivated individual and an enthusiastic and competent executive assistant with a high standard of accuracy and able to demonstrate initiative in managing your workload.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
- Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
