The role

Are you ready to map your future across the vast landscapes of New South Wales? Join a team that manages one of the most extensive and diverse land portfolios in the state – Crown Land. We’re seeking a detail-driven Data Management Officer to help us maintain the integrity of spatial data that underpins landholder transactions, asset valuations, and strategic land use decisions.

As a valued member of our team, you will:

  • Maintain spatial data using Crown Editor, a customised ESRI application, to meet operational requirements
  • Provide quality assurance for the Crown Land Information Database (CLID) textual database and the CrownTracker application in reference to impacts on spatial updates
  • Query the spatial database for reporting on spatial data requests and projects
  • Maintain the asset valuation database associated with the transactions (sales, acquisitions, disposals etc) of Crown land to ensure integrity of data and provide accurate, complete and accessible information
  • Identify the inconsistent and inappropriate application of operational policies and procedures within corporate databases and report these to the Spatial Maintenance Lead.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience geospatial applications, databases, customer relationship management systems, electronic document management systems and spreadsheets
  • A quick learning mindset with a thorough, detail-oriented approach
  • Strong commitment to data integrity and quality assurance
  • An innovative attitude toward problem-solving and task execution
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

What’s an essential requirement

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
